Oh Star!

Jerone Avel S. Cansino

Oh star where should I start?
Oh star how shall it be?
To hold you in my hands,
Will it be? Will it be?

Oh star your shining light
looks like a call for me tonight.
In it should I respond?
Tonight! Yes tonight.

You are something in my eyes.
You’re the oar of my life,
Please lead me to somewhere.
Somewhere by the light.

Either asleep or awake,
You’re in my mind sunken deep.
I hear you whisper,
“Come on! Take a leap.”

Life’s too short to vacillate.
I can’t afford to delay.
It’s now or never!
Come what may! Come what may!

To dream as I sleep,
Then live as I wake.
Because in every vision,
They require leaps of faith.

To dream is not enough.
Nothing’s left! Wake up!
Open eyes, active mind.
And a body, ready to act.

Oh star I want your light.
Oh star how is my life.
Soon I will shine.
I’ll decorate the night.
