A Yearning, Yearning Heart

Jerone Avel S. Cansino

As time goes on and life pass by
From the bloom of leaves until they dry
Unfathomable fate awaits unknown
The seasons change and so as I

The way I think, the way I feel
The way I distinguish the right from real
Unfathomable fate awaits unknown
I’ll stand in this ground and wait with zeal

The future foggy, as it is
I’ll never know ahead what waits
Unfathomable fate awaits unknown
I have decided to cross the seas

I can never change what has done the past
Or make anything survive to last
Unfathomable fate awaits unknown
In this promise I stay strong and steadfast

I might be happy in the eye of the many
Or I might be strong the way you see me
Unfathomable fate awaits unknown
Inside my soul I’m dread, alone

In all the choices along the way
I hope, I pray this love will stay
Unfathomable fate awaits unknown
Our memories, I will shelter everyday

I break now this strong facade
Looking weak for you, I’m proud and glad
Unfathomable fate awaits unknown
The warmth, your embrace now I clad

Cherish with me in my happy times
We grieve together in darkest hours
Unfathomable fate awaits unknown
We will overpower the distance bars

Our hearts have united strong and tight
May it be our vision, guardian, light
Unfathomable fate awaits unknown
I’m always with you even out of sight

Please let me love you a love so true
Please let me share my life, this life with you
Beyond uncertainty doubt and fear
Please stay with me till life is through

Every beginning has its own end
Every birth, is to death being sent
There is nothing in this world that could never change
This love I have will end when I’m dead

Hold my hands strong and tight
As we walk this weary, dark, cold night
If in this trouble we’ll not survive,
Together we die fighting for our right

This endless pains, that hurts and kills
It could never supress this fire I feel
I long for you, for you alone
Now and forever this heart is sealed

Others will regard this as stupidity
Some will see it as insanity
Reasons are bent as emotions enter
I’ll trade my intellect just to be happy

I have but one lifetime to choose the path I want
I spend all of it just to stand where you stand
I would never want someone, somebody who is better
All I want is to stay with you and only you forever

We walk the muddy road as well the rocky ones
Strong winds and heavy rain will not knock us down
Every giants we encounter, in the end will kiss the ground

In the end we are waiting for a happy faraway land
